U.S. Hazmat Chemical Storage units are designed to emphasize safety. Our dry chemical fire suppression systems are UL, ULC listed and FM approved. They are pre-engineered according to the NFPA 17, built to protect against A, B, and C type fires, and are equipped to offer remote annunciation. In the event of a fire, a fusible link is designed to separate at a specific temperature. This releases tension on the detection cable which automatically leads to the release of an extinguishing agent through a piping network installed on the ceiling. The agent is contained in a KIDDE 21 lb. tank which is encased in a weatherproof enclosure located outside the building.

The agent is released through predetermined nozzles that have been tested to provide coverage to a specific area. Our fire suppression systems also offer manual pull stations that allow you to activate specific nozzles located closer to the fire. Audible alarm bells are available as well as visual ones. A visual alarm strobe is available on the roof of your unit if you so desire. Upon activation, the alarm system immediately alerts emergency responders. The alarm also facilitates shut down of all exhaust fans and HVAC systems. DOT regulations state that the system has to be delivered unarmed. It must be armed by a licensed representative after installation.
